I am in need of some assistance with our Raspberry Pi configuration. I will do my best to explain all the details that I know of for troubleshooting information. We contacted a small company near us to setup the Raspberry Pi system. But it has been several years and I am not able to get them to contact me. We have a MySQL database and all Pi's are configured to talk to the database. The database collects information on our tools for the parts we are milling. This information is then placed into reports that is provided to our plant on TV screens and available to the our vendors upon request.
I have an image of the flash drive that I created and have been using that to put in new machines. I have been learning Raspberry Pi, but the Server that houses the database is very old and we are needing to move the database to a new one. I have tried to look at the configuration files on the Pi's to see if there is a way to change the location of the database so they will continue to work. But not lucky as of yet. The Pi's are command line only. There is a folder called Overlays on the disk, and not sure how that plays into the whole configuration of the Pi. I am thinking there is some other program that was used to configure the database connection, but unable to tell. The load screen goes by so quick, it is hard to see what exactly is loaded and when.
I am a seasoned Systems Administrator, but my knowledge of the Pi's and Linux are extremely limited. I have never had to administer these machines in the past. I am looking for some help in locating where the configuration file is and how to edit it so they will connect to the new database location. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
