I'm looking to create a custom repository for Raspberry Pi Imager, so we can keep a few local images in the college, and we don't have to mess about with certificates when connected to out guest WiFi for our course modules.
I see it as an option in github
https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-imag ... repository
but there seems to be documentation for how to compile the program, links for how to use to programme and how to stop tracking. But I cannot see any links, nor instructions in the readme for how to implement a custom repository.
Has anyone tried this, I know the shortcut link needs to be something like
C:\Program Files (x86)\Raspberry Pi Imager\rpi-imager.exe --repo http://123.4.4.123/imager_files
But I am not sure if it needs more than just the files in that network folder, I can see a json list may be involved but there is no mention of what, or what the minimum needed it etc or the file layout. There is an example hidden in the code listing but not an explanation in the readme of what it all means and must haves etc.
Anyone tried this and knows how. I've got a few weeks before I can try on site, so this gives me plenty of time to try at home.
P.S. I know I can use a custom file etc, the same way alternative OS's work and how I tend to do it at home, but this is a learning exercise for the students and keeps it simple for them.
Many thanks for anyone that has tried this.
