Beginners • Question on Static IP

Hi I'm looking to set up a static IP for my RPI in my project. The problem is the area my project is set up in has its own WiFi network, and at end of the day I'll still have to bring home my RPI to use it to fix the code etc..

1. If I set up a static RPI will there be any issues once I bring it home to connect to my home WiFi and mobile hotspot?
2. I don't have any access to configure the router at both project area and home, so I'll have to edit through the dhcpcd.conf file, will this be a problem as I see some people facing issues on doing this.
3. Will there be any issues with ssh?

I have looked into other options such as a Dynamic DNS like Duck DNS but it seems like a hassle?

I'm looking into static IPs as I am running MQTT broker on RPI to connect with some ESP32s, and changing the IP address in each ESP32 code is becoming a chore.

Just accepting overall opinions, will give more info if needed.
