Hello,
Long-time Raspberry Pi user, first-time forum user/poster...
This week I happened to discover that my Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, which is connected via an Ethernet cable to my router, is no longer reachable over WiFi. This might have been the case for a while; maybe even since the Trixie update? I'm trying to re-connect the Pi 4 to my WiFi, but I fail to do so. As a test, I booted from an SD card with an older setup (I moved from booting from SD card to SSD some time ago). That setup connected to WiFi just fine, so luckily it's not a hardware issue, but a configuration/software issue.
The Pi 4 is up-to-date software wise. In fact, I tried the upcoming/beta wpasupplicant 2:2.10-24+rpt3 as well, but the issue remains.
The WiFi network uses WPA2-Personal protection and broadcasts over the 2.4 GH band only. The Pi 4 does see the network:When I enter SSID and password (which work for the Pi Zero) from my password manager (so no typos) raspi_config gives a non-informative error that something went wrong:When I try it manually it also fails:This is the journal log:
