Hi guys,
I recently built a new desktop Windows 11 PC. It works great but my 25 year old Epson Perfection 3170 Photo scanner is so old Win 11 can't talk to it. The last driver update issued by Epson was for Windows 7. I got it to run on generic drivers (minus its pushbutton features) on my old computer when I upgraded it to Win 10, but the scanner flat out refuses to run on Windows 11.
Can I program an RPi to handle the interface and drivers for me? I imagine it would work something like a printer server where the RPi accepts the scanner's USB interface but sends out a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth signal to my new PC.
However, I'm new to RPi programming and have no idea how I would go about making such a project. Can you help?
Thanks!
