Hi everyone,
I have a Raspberry Pi 5 that arrived already faulty. In the middle of the attached photo you can see two missing components: on the left a resistor or a ferrite bead/inductor, on the right a capacitor.
Could anyone with a working Pi 5 help me identify them?
What would help most:
The value of the left-hand component — resistance, or inductance if you have an LCR tweezer. Measuring in-circuit is unreliable, so even a clear macro photo of the marking would be useful.
Alternatively, the voltage on both pads of that component while the board is running — that would at least tell me whether it's a low-value bead or a high-value resistor.
A sharp macro photo of this area for comparison.
For the capacitor I plan to desolder the neighbouring one from the same circuit, measure its capacitance and fit an identical part.
Board details: oscillator marked AEL 54.000, date code 1124. Test points TP35 and TP11 are visible in the photo for reference.
The damage is mechanical and the board was dead when I got it, so this is a repair attempt rather than a warranty case.
Thanks in advance!
