General • GPIO to control a shutdown signal to another module

Hello,

Apologies if this is already somewhere on the forum, I haven't found it.

I am building a project which uses various bits of kit including an Adafruit MAX98306 stereo amplifier module.

The module has a Shutdown pin which, if connected to VDD of 5V, will put the module in standby, drawing 1uA until I need it active again.

I've searched around electronic guidance and can't see exactly what I'm looking for, so I'm asking here;

What's the best way to control switching of the supply VDD 5V to the shutdown pin? There is no information in the datasheets for any current draw through this pin, either on the Adafruit information, nor the Maxim datasheet for the chip.

All help gratefully received, thank you

David
