In the CM4IOUSB3 reference design there are decoupling caps on the TX pair of the VL805. However, there are no decoupling caps on the TX side of the CM4. According to PCIe spec there should be decoupling caps near all transmitters, but apparently there are none on the CM4IOUSB3 PCB near the CM4's PCIe TX pads. Am I correct in assuming that the decoupling caps are on the CM4 itself? Looking at it with a spyglass I indeed see caps smaller than an ant's rectum in the vicinity of the TX pads. And also some similar caps seemingly for the clock pair.
