SDK • spi_get_hw() used in examples but not in SDK docs?

This function is used in one of the examples (https://github.com/raspberrypi/pico-exa ... /spi_dma.c) but I can't see it in the SDK docs.

Is it that:
(a) I'm looking in the wrong place
(b) it's undocumented so may disappear in a future release
(c) it's a docs issue
(d) something else...
