How do i setup unattended-upgrades with automatic reboot and on-changes mail notifications to gmail account on a headless raspberry pi 5 server? No graphical user interface (GUI) installed.
I have followed some tutorials and all but they does not seem to be complete, or is outdated and what not.
It's also very frustrating that there is no ncurses setup for this. Just to go through a step by step setup to fix everything.
To me, the bottlenecking part is the mail notifications to gmail. What program shall i be using? How do i set this up?
And why is this not covered by all the hundreds of tutorials out there on how to setup unattended-upgrades?
Many of them does not include regular updates but just security updates, also a sign of an uncomplete tutorial.
So please, is there anyone who can make a fully fledged tutorial from a-z on how to do this? a complete setup for the regular user.
