Hi, I recently got the Pi 5 and I have a lot of experience with the Raspberry previously. I know that the red on-board LED is a power indicator, if it blinks or doesn't work properly, then that usually indicated power supply or peripherals issues. I just flashed the latest Raspberry Pi OS Desktop 64-bit from a Mac onto a brand-new SD card. Worth noting, I'm using the official power supply and the only things connected is the power cable, micro HDMI and a Logitech mouse dongle.
It works fine, I even managed to update it and the desktop appears, but for some reason the red light is off all the time, it only switches on after I shut it down. Should that be a concern? Is it a part of some kind of update? Should I re-flash my OS?
I also ran and it returned:
