Networking and servers • Losing share acess on system id change.

Hi All - Got a weird one that I cannot solve. I have a Pi4 on a Windows network (via SAMBA) set up as a Web Server. There is a share to allow file interchange between my Windows desktop and the web server. I needed another test web server so I bought and another Pi4. Rather than do a fresh install, I thought I'd simply clone the first web server and change the system ID. I cloned the micro SD, powered off the original and booted the new web server as a clone. All is good. I change the second system's ID and reboot. System reboot fine but the Share is inaccessible (no permissions). WTF?? How can simply changing a system's ID change the permissions on a Share? Anyone got any thoughts or ideas?

Many thanks in advance,
Ray Carpenter.
