Raspberry Pi 400 and 500 • PI 500 keyboard configuration

I prefer to boot to the command line and switch to the desktop with 'wayfire-pi'

When I do this the keyboard is not configured correctly, probably the default keyboard settings. This does not occur when I boot directly to the desktop. I haven't found any way to change the keyboard configuration.

Any ideas?
