General discussion • Best screen recorder for wayland

All of the options I tried were broken, consumed too much CPU resources, and/or lacked features I needed.
botspot-screen-recorder is my attempt to make the best Wayland screen recorder possible.
It's a single shell script that cleverly combines mpv, pipewire, yad, and wf-recorder to make a flexible screen recording tool. I'm calling it BSR, an acknowledgement to SimpleScreenRecorder (SSR).

None of the screen recording tools had ready-made options for recording both webcam and screen at once, and both webcam microphone and system audio. Occasionally I need to record video of myself demonstrating various tasks on the computer, so a rudimentary screen capture was insufficient.

To try it out:

Code:

git clone https://github.com/Botspot/botspot-screen-recorder./botspot-screen-recorder/screen-recorder.sh
This will eventually be added to the Pi-Apps store for easier installation and updates. I just want some feedback from everyone here first.
Right now it does not update automatically. To pull in any new changes or bugfixes, run this:

Code:

cd botspot-screen-recordergit pull
