Hi,
I'm playing around with a raspberry pi 5 8gb with Raspberry pi OS installeda and I recently added Steamlink on it, The onboard wifi isn't great for game streaming though!
I have an Alfa AWUS036AC adapter laying around that I got to work with a Pi 4 and Kali a while ago, But I cannot seem to get it working with the Pi5 right now! I tried several guides on driver compiling/installations and none of them worked so far.. the adapter is discovered in lsusb but isn't displayed as a network adapter. I also read in a couple of different places that the driver should already be present?
As a test, I tried a d-link DWA-171C1 and it worked right away! Although the connection is better, it's not perfect. Before routing an ethernet cable across my house, I'd really like to get the Alfa adapter working to test!
Did anyone ever face this situation? Or could anyone provide any guidance/help on how to achieve this?
Thank you!
