Troubleshooting • Compiling my own kernels and DTB files

Hey there -

I'm investigating an issue - CIFS and Ethernet, across major branches of the Linux kernel - and I think I could use some context for the DTB files.

So far, kernels:
* 6.1 is good
* 6.6 is bad
* 6.10 is good

I've worked on bisecting the commits that broke, and fix, the issue. But I think the results could vary by the DTB files. How compatible are the DTB files across kernel versions? Each build, each major branch, stick to what came from the distribution, etc.?
