I have spent a lot of time trying to get my camera working on Raspberry Pi 5 and it's just not working. The camera I'm using is Raspberry Pi Camera Module 3.
I've read a many posts on the forums (including this: viewtopic.php?t=362707) and Reddit but none of them seem to solve my problem.
List of things which don't have an issue:
[*]Camera: I had a borrowed Raspberry Pi 4 and tried using the camera with it and it worked flawlessly. So the issue isn't with the camera.
[*]Cable: Since RPI5 uses a different cable for the camera, I tested it using a multimeter and all of the contacts worked.
[*]Interfacing: Correctly interfacing the cable with RPI5.
List of things I cannot be sure if they're working.
[*]Ports on RPI5: I cannot test if the ports on my RPI5 are working, but it's less likely that there's a fault with it.
[*]Software: I had read the documentation and multiple forums with my issue and they recommend updating the firmware and the software. I did that and it still doesn't help. But it's more likely to be a problem than the reports.
I've currently flashed another image of the OS using Raspberry Pi Imager and have updated to the latest firmware using
