HATs and other add-ons • Using Mono Mic 1 on a Codec Zero with a Pi 5

According to the documentation here:

the 3.5mm jack on the Codec Zero is a monophonic microphone input. When I try to configure things per the instructions here:

there are a couple of issues. First, there is no state file corresponding to using Mono Mic 1 in the repository. Second, after loading any state file I see no input sources ("arecord -l" gives nothing). It's a bit off to sell a card and then not provide configuration information for it.

Any input is greatly appreciated.
