I have been using Pimoroni's NVMe base and a 5000 gig M2 drive for a few weeks. Works nicely, however, for reasons, not relevant. I needed to reformat and reinstall the OS. I could not get the PI to boot to SD. configured Raspi-Config to boot to SD card. No joy. EEPROM was configured to boot to SD, but it would still boot to the NVMe drive.
I had to remove the base, put the M2 in a caddy, boot to my SD card and then connect the caddy. I was then able to user Imager to reinstall. I noticed the NVMe drive was mounted at /boot/firmware. Is this the reason, for the boot order to be ignored?
