General discussion • GPIO Pin Help

Hello, I am having trouble using the GPIO pins as outputs in some small circuits. At first I tried to blink an LED and that when well, with no problems. Then afterwards I downloaded some gpio libraries to assist in trying to turn a motor wheel using pwm and ever since trying I have been getting errors stating, "RuntimeError: Cannot determine SOC peripheral base address" or "lgpio.error 'gpio not allocated" depending on what I changed prior. After having these issues I tried to run the simple LED blinking program and that would lead to the same problems as with trying with the motor.

After researching online, it sounds like I am may have installed conflicting gpio libraries and that is causing the issues but I am unsure. If it helps I am programming on VS code through a SSH to communicate with a raspberry pi 5. Thank you!
