Hey all,
Using libcamera-vid, when I set the gain of my v3 noir camera module very high, it looks great at night but horrible in the daytime. The brightness setting is just as bad (worse, because it doesn't help much at night). Changing the auto exposure metering doesn't seem to help (average seems slightly better).
It seems I'm unable to get the camera to adjust the gain/exposure well on its own. What settings am I missing? I would just like to see the image clearly during day and night using one libcamera command.
Or should I simply setup a cronjob to restart the camera during the evening and morning with different gain settings?
What are you all doing?
